Thornton Steel offers connection design for all projects. Connection Design is one of the most important parts of a structural steel project. Our PM’s, detailers, and erectors work closely with our connection design engineers when starting up a new project to ensure that the most efficient and safest design of connections are being used while detailing, fabricating and erecting a project.

Closely coordinating our team (connection engineer, PM, detailer, erector) with the project engineers we have been able to develop the safest and most productive connection design leading to accelerated schedules while still obtaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Connection design is critical to Value engineering. Bringing our team on board early during the design of a project will help reduce cost by offering consulting regarding the most cost effective connection design while maximizing fabrication and erection production.
